It is important for scientists to be made aware of the irresponsible behavior of leaders of learned establishments when faced by a threat to their position in the form of scientific breakthroughs.
Ivor Catt, January 2018
The topic is important, because many people regard sociology of science, history of science and philosophy of science as the handmaids of mainstream science, for an obvious reason. the funding goes to mainstream science, and a trickle goes to those who support mainstream science. There is no funding for research into sociological problems in mainstream science. Kuhn never mentions censorship. For Kuhn, all research is within academia.
